Rocky View Schools (RVS) is transitioning to using the WheresTheBus app to provide parents/guardians and schools with timely arrival and location information for our fleet of contracted buses. This secure, easy-to-use tool uses GPS and tablets installed on school buses to track and report real-time bus locations and estimated arrival times.

“We are excited about the transition to WheresTheBus, which will provide families peace of mind as their children are transported to and from school,” said Senior Manager of Transportation, Morley Kostecky. “This app provides families with information that can be used to check where the bus is and see when it arrives at your child’s stop and at school.”

WheresTheBus will replace the current Bus Status App used by RVS, which will no longer be available effective March 6. To ensure no gap in tracking your child’s bus, families have until then to download the WheresTheBus app and create an account. The app is free, and families may opt-out at any time.

To create your account, you will need your student’s PowerSchool number, which can be found on PowerSchool or by contacting your school. More information about WheresTheBus including how to create an account, use the app and frequently asked questions is available on the RVS website.
