School Councils

School councils play a vital role in RVS. They are a way for parents and community members to work together with our schools to support and enhance student learning. At the school level, they help shape the delivery of education to children through ongoing feedback to school administrators.

School councils:

  • Support school activities
  • Advise principals and the Board of Trustees on matters related to schools
  • Provide liaison between the school and the community
  • Consult principals
  • Perform any function or duty required under government legislation or regulation, or delegated by the Board of Trustees

Land Acknowledgment

Rocky View Schools would like to acknowledge the land and recognize all the Indigenous Peoples whose footprints have marked these lands from time immemorial. Together, we can learn and honour the Ways of Knowing of Indigenous Peoples for all future generations.
