Trustee Election

Elections for the RVS Board of Trustees will take place during the next municipal general election on Oct. 20, 2025.

About RVS’ Board of Trustees

RVS’ eight-member Board of Trustees is responsible for promoting an open and transparent learning system, while fulfilling its statutory obligations of setting directions, allocating resources and monitoring and reporting student and operational achievements guided by the priorities, goals and outcomes set in the four-year strategic plan.

Board, planning and organizational meetings are defined by Board Policy 7: Board Operations.  The Board meets regularly from September – June of each school year.

The Superintendent of Schools reports directly to the Board. With the assistance of four associate superintendents and staff, the superintendent leads the division in the areas of curriculum and instruction, professional learning, student transportation, human resources, communication, budget and finance, capital planning and facility maintenance.
